Job Title: Despatch Administrator

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Transport/Despatch Clerk to join our retail operation.

The successful candidate will work alongside the Senior Transport Clerk and transport team, providing on-site operational and administrative support. Key responsibilities include checking-in and checking-out registration of drivers, despatching drivers, and completing key documentation.

Key Duties:
  • Efficiently and accurately despatching drivers with all relevant paperwork
  • Completing customer and Stobart KPIs where required
  • Maintaining accurate trailer numbers in the internal tracking system
  • Monitoring the service board to ensure correct week numbers are assigned to depot trailers
  • Liaising with drivers on the gate communication system to inform them of site procedures
  • Completing daily tasks for compliance purposes
  • Ensuring manning levels are updated and correct
  • Internal reporting duties
  • Downloading vehicle and driver digital tachographs as required
  • Transport System management
Requirements:
  • Experience in a similar role and a sound knowledge of Transport and Logistics
  • Strong organisational skills and time management techniques to balance priorities effectively
  • Flexibility, articulation, and ability to cope under pressure
