**Job Summary**

Parke Lane People is seeking a highly skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for coordinating freight forwarder allocation, maintaining supply chain functions, and ensuring seamless logistics performance.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Arrange and participate in regular meetings with key stakeholders to discuss logistics performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate freight forwarder allocation with the planning team to ensure timely and efficient order fulfillment.
  • Maintain the supply chain function fully informed of any issues that may impact logistics performance, both in origin countries and in the UK.
  • Raise purchase orders and stock transfer orders on behalf of the planning team.
  • Generate weekly and monthly KPIs and update the scorecard for the logistics department.
  • Ensure all necessary reports are up-to-date and in the correct format to interface with our bespoke planning system.
  • Maintain an electronic database of shipping documents and handle related queries.
  • Support the logistics manager in resolving queries around import/export clearance issues, including excise and tariff enquiries.
  • Track dispatch and in-transit progress of orders placed and highlight non-conformance for late dispatch or extended transit time.
  • Liaise with the planning, freight forwarders, and warehouse teams around inbound container bookings.
  • Monitor, report, and support the logistics manager in mitigating any upcoming demurrage costs.
  • Track and investigate returns and raise claims for lost or damaged product.
  • Provide cover for the logistics manager when required.

**Requirements:**

  • Strong administration and customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good work ethic, proactive, and 'can-do' attitude.
  • Ability to spot problems and take initiative to resolve them.
  • Good IT literacy, especially in Excel, and strong attention to detail.
  • Previous logistics experience is desirable but not essential.
