We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Teaching Assistant with a specialization in British Sign Language (BSL) to join our team at a primary school in Cambridgeshire. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of students with learning difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the teacher in delivering lessons and providing individualized support to students with learning difficulties
- Use BSL to communicate with students and staff, promoting inclusivity and accessibility
- Assist with classroom management, including supervising students during lessons and breaks
- Develop and implement strategies to support students with learning difficulties, in collaboration with the teaching staff
- Contribute to the creation of a safe and nurturing learning environment
Requirements:
- Qualification in BSL (British Sign Language)
- Experience working with students with learning difficulties
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced educational environment
