We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Teaching Assistant with a specialization in British Sign Language (BSL) to join our team at a primary school in Cambridgeshire. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of students with learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the teacher in delivering lessons and providing individualized support to students with learning difficulties
  • Use BSL to communicate with students and staff, promoting inclusivity and accessibility
  • Assist with classroom management, including supervising students during lessons and breaks
  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with learning difficulties, in collaboration with the teaching staff
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe and nurturing learning environment

Requirements:

  • Qualification in BSL (British Sign Language)
  • Experience working with students with learning difficulties
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
