Avenue Thorn Recruitment Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Operative/LGV C&E driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for handling the preparation, maintenance, loading/unloading, and delivery of electrical equipment across the UK and Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Warehouse Operations:
    • Picking, preparing, and maintaining stock levels to ensure efficient order fulfillment.
    • Assisting with the loading and unloading of vehicles, including vans and trucks.
    • Managing equipment stock data using our company's stock control system and handheld scanners.
    • Collaborating with the cable department to perform tasks such as looming, de-looming, and cleaning cable.
  • Driving Duties:
    • Delivering and collecting electrical equipment across the UK and Europe as required.
    • Operating a range of vehicles, including small car-derived vans, large vans, Cat C, and C+E trucks.
    • Conducting regular vehicle checks in accordance with company procedures.
    • Maintaining awareness of basic vehicle maintenance, including oil, coolant, and bulb checks.
    • Ensuring vehicles are clean, tidy, hygienic, and roadworthy at all times.

Requirements:

  • Valid full British driving license.
  • Valid passport.
  • Age 25 or over.
  • Ability to work at weekends and occasional overnight stays offsite.
  • Willingness to travel to Europe as required.
