Shorterm Group is collaborating with a leading clean water asset management firm seeking a dedicated Site Supervisor to oversee operations across various regions.
Role Summary:
This position entails extensive travel alongside office-based responsibilities. The ideal candidate should reside within a reasonable commuting distance and be willing to travel to designated areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and execute multiple tasks throughout the lifecycle of clean water projects.
- Conduct surveys and liaise with principal contractors to ensure compliance with installation requirements.
- Supervise the commissioning team, ensuring thorough inspection, testing, and handover processes to guarantee successful project completion within established timelines and quality standards.
- Collaborate with project teams to review commissioning plans and adhere to project schedules.
- Complete Inspection and Test Plans, commissioning documentation, and ensure all engineering designs meet required standards.
- Monitor project progress, identify challenges, and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Undertake site management responsibilities as necessary and oversee all aspects of the commissioning project until final client handover.
Continuous Improvement:
- Review project outcomes and closeout reports with senior consultants to identify key learning points for future enhancements.
- Facilitate regular team meetings to keep all members informed about project status and foster a collaborative work environment.
Essential Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience supervising water main construction sites.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the water industry.
- Relevant qualifications such as CSCS, SMSTS, SSSTS, EUSR Water Hygiene, SHEA Water, and NRSWA Supervisor.
- Proficiency in valve operations and familiarity with CALM Networks.
- Strong IT skills, including GIS mapping tools and online reporting software.
- A valid UK driving license.
Personal Attributes:
- Demonstrated practical knowledge of clean water networks.
- Ability to produce and deliver Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to ensure safety and compliance.
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities, with a proven track record of driving tasks to completion.
- A methodical approach to work with a focus on collaboration and team dynamics.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations within the water sector.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying workloads and work schedules, including potential night and weekend shifts.
Contract Details:
- Type: Full-time, permanent
- Weekly Hours: 40 hours (Monday to Friday), with occasional night work compensated at an additional rate.
- Location: Primarily within specified regions, with potential for broader coverage.
