About This Role
As a Lead Specialist Nutrition Support Dietitian, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert dietetic care to adult patients across various wards within Airedale NHS Foundation Trust. You'll lead a dedicated team of dietitians and assistants, ensuring the delivery of high-quality nutrition support services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nutrition support to patients in gastroenterology, surgery, and critical care settings.
- Manage and mentor a team of Band 5 and Band 6 dietitians, as well as dietetic assistants, fostering their professional development.
- Collaborate closely with the Service Manager for Dietetics, contributing to service planning, needs assessments, and identifying areas for improvement within your specialist domains.
- Actively promote the identification and treatment of malnutrition across both hospital and community settings, working in partnership with healthcare professionals.
- Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistent nutritional care and safe, effective patient management.
