Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Administrator to join our team at Allied Bakeries. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Debriefing drivers upon their return to the depot, ensuring all questions are answered and necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Verifying the accuracy of delivery documentation and processing adjustments as needed.
  • Utilizing telematics tracking systems to optimize daily operations.
  • Processing collection notes and recording basket information in Excel.
  • Ensuring driver tachograph cards are downloaded and maintained.
  • Collaborating with drivers to identify and resolve losses.
  • Working with the Customer Contact Department to resolve customer complaints and issues.
  • Investigating customer claims through the dispute system.
  • Providing administrative support to the Logistics Management Team as needed.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Numerate and literate with a strong analytical mindset.
  • Previous experience in transportation or a similar administrative role is desirable.
  • Education to GCSE level (minimum 5 GCSEs grade A*-C or equivalent).
  • Self-motivated with a drive for results and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to take the lead on key tasks and drive KPI results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
