About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our team at West Sussex County Council. As a Senior Social Worker, you will be responsible for managing a complex caseload and working collaboratively with individuals, families, and carers to identify and meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and reviews to identify eligible needs and develop personalized outcomes
• Work effectively with colleagues and external agencies to deliver high-quality services and achieve positive outcomes
• Provide supervision and support to less experienced colleagues to enhance their skills and confidence
• Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation and organizational policies to ensure compliance and best practice

Requirements

• A degree in Social Work or a recognized equivalent qualification
• Registration with Social Work England
• Proven experience of working in complex situations and developing creative solutions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups
• Valid full driving license (desirable)
