Role Overview
As a Senior Rendering Engineer, your role will involve close collaboration with various disciplines to maximize the potential of the engine and hardware. Utilizing Unreal Engine 5 as the foundation, you will enhance and extend the engine to deliver cutting-edge visuals and gameplay experiences.
To succeed in this position, prior experience as an Engine or Rendering Engineer on a released AAA title is crucial, along with a solid understanding of best practices in code architecture. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for effective collaboration with internal stakeholders, and a relentless drive for quality is expected.
This position offers a unique chance to become part of a growing team of industry veterans and to influence the technical direction of this ambitious project.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the Engine Lead and heads of other disciplines to optimize engine and hardware performance.
- Independently manage the planning and execution of significant projects.
- Mentor junior team members, fostering skill development and elevating the overall standards of the Engineering team.
- Proactively identify opportunities for enhancing quality across all aspects of work.
- Engage actively in our collaborative and creative team culture.
Qualifications
- Experience as an Engine or Rendering Engineer on multiple AAA projects.
- In-depth knowledge of contemporary and emerging gaming technologies and methodologies.
- Expertise in various domains, with the ability to lead development initiatives independently.
- Strong proficiency in C++, including skills in profiling, debugging, and code optimization.
- Solid grasp of best practices in code architecture.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Capability to work autonomously and effectively, planning and achieving goals independently.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality in all endeavors.
- A genuine passion for gaming and game development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Unreal Engine 4 or 5 on AAA titles.
- Background in mentoring fellow Engineers.
- Experience with current generation console development.
- Experience in developing open-world games.
