Position Overview

The Winsford maintenance division is actively seeking a Multi-Skilled Facility Maintenance Specialist. We are looking for a dedicated and driven individual to join our maintenance team, contributing to our long-term vision of operational excellence.

The selected candidate will report to the Maintenance Team Leader and will be tasked with both reactive and preventive maintenance across the facility, addressing mechanical and electrical issues while achieving relevant KPIs and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that maintenance schedules for all facility equipment are appropriate and strictly followed in accordance with GMP standards. Confirm that all related requirements are fulfilled, including adherence to schedules and performance metrics.
  • Conduct timely electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on a variety of manufacturing equipment across different departments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on troubleshooting and continuous improvement projects.
  • Maintain compliance with GMP standards in all work areas, ensuring cleanliness and proper maintenance while executing tasks according to standard operating procedures.
  • Coordinate with the production team to understand line priorities and work with the engineering team leader to prioritize maintenance tasks in alignment with production schedules to meet KPIs.
  • Identify and lead machine enhancement projects.
  • Adhere to site health and safety protocols, raising observations regarding working conditions.
  • Complete all tasks safely and maintain required documentation in accordance with site procedures, utilizing good documentation practices (GDP).

Qualifications

  • Recognized qualification such as HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proven experience as a mechanical or electrical engineer.
  • Electrical focus with substantial mechanical expertise.
  • Prior experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and motor control circuits.
  • Hands-on experience with relevant machinery and equipment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • High motivation and drive to enhance machinery and processes within the maintenance team.
  • Excellent diagnostic skills with a practical and logical approach to problem-solving, effectively managing breakdowns and resolving issues promptly.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and maintain a flexible approach.
  • Experience in continuous improvement and world-class manufacturing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with working alongside manufacturing and quality departments to implement change controls and procedural enhancements.
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation and compliance requirements.
