Job Summary
We're seeking a skilled Functional Skills Trainer to join our team. As a Functional Skills Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering Maths and English Functional Skills training to a caseload of apprentices with additional learning needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver one-to-one and group training sessions to apprentices, using a range of teaching methods to engage learners and promote learning.
- Manage a caseload of learners, providing support and guidance to ensure they achieve their Functional Skills qualifications on time.
- Use e-learning platforms to deliver training modules and track learner progress.
- Record learner support evidence and maintain accurate records of learner progress.
- Communicate with Regional Trainers and Training Managers to ensure progress is communicated and opportunities to contextualize the learning are explored.
Person Specification
- Minimum of two years' delivery experience, preferably in a similar role.
- Minimum of two years' experience delivering numeracy and literacy qualifications.
- Recognized teaching/training qualification at Level 3.
- Qualified to Level 3 Certificate in Adult Literacy and/or Numeracy or Functional Skills at Level 2.
