Overview:

GSL Education is in search of a committed and passionate Special Educational Needs Support Assistant to enhance our dynamic educational environment in Doncaster.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering tailored support to students with special educational needs, assisting them in their academic pursuits and ensuring comprehension of the curriculum.
  • Collaborating with the classroom teacher to foster an inclusive educational atmosphere.
  • Participating in continuous professional development to remain updated on effective strategies, methodologies, and regulations pertinent to special education.

Core Duties:

  • As a Special Educational Needs Support Assistant, you will be instrumental in providing individualized support to students with special educational requirements.
  • Facilitating learning activities for students, both in group settings and during personalized sessions.
  • Offering emotional encouragement and support to students, nurturing a constructive learning environment.
  • Working alongside educators and the Special Educational Needs Coordinator to execute personalized education plans and support frameworks.
  • Tracking student progress and relaying insights to educators and guardians.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • A genuine enthusiasm for working with children and a commitment to positively impacting their educational journeys.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience with students on the autism spectrum is advantageous.
