Key Responsibilities

As the inaugural Project Manager for our commercial solar PV sector, you will play a pivotal role in defining the trajectory of our operations. This position demands a professional with a robust background in the commercial and industrial (C&I) solar sector, complemented by a well-established network of industry connections. Your responsibilities will encompass the development of this business line from inception, alongside the management of ongoing projects.

  • Project Oversight: Direct projects from initial concept through to final execution, ensuring compliance with timelines, specifications, and financial parameters. Manage all stages of the project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Technical Development: Create optimized designs for commercial solar installations across various structures, including rooftops and carports. Employ tools such as PVSyst to maximize project efficiency.
  • Grid Management: Prepare and submit necessary applications to the relevant network authority, overseeing the connections process.
  • Strategic Growth: Formulate and execute strategies to establish and enhance the commercial solar PV division. Identify and pursue new business avenues, including partnerships and collaborations within the sector.
  • Financial and Operational Oversight: Conduct financial modeling to assess project viability, investment opportunities, and mergers and acquisitions. Manage contracts and negotiations with suppliers and contractors.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in C&I solar design and project management, with a background in electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with grid connection processes.
  • Relevant electrical certifications (e.g., Level 3) are advantageous.
  • A minimum of 3 years of industry experience.
  • Demonstrated success in deploying commercial projects of 100kW or greater.
  • Willingness to operate across the entire UK.
