Job Title: Town Planner

Job Type: Full-timeSchedule: Monday to Friday, 9am -5.30pm, one day working from home

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Town Planner to join our team at The Recruitment Experts. As a Town Planner, you will be responsible for preparing planning applications and appeals, prior approval applications, and pre-application engagement. You will also be working with colleagues to increase knowledge of Planning Law and Practice and seeking opportunities to develop and increase exposure to projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of planning applications and appeals, including site assessments and development potential.
  • Prior approval applications and pre-application engagement with stakeholders.
  • Preparing Planning Notes on land and buildings, including policy analysis and interpretation of material considerations.
  • Planning advice on farm diversification and asset enhancement opportunities.
  • Liaising with Case Officers, Clients, and Consultants regarding third-party reports and project updates.
  • Work with colleagues to increase knowledge of Planning Law and Practice and seek opportunities to develop and increase exposure to projects.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate Town Planning qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years planning experience, ideally at least 18 months in the private sector.
  • IT proficiency.
  • Full driving license, and access to your own vehicle.
  • The ability to manage time effectively, prioritizing tasks to ensure that deadlines are met.
  • A willingness to be part of a team, to assist and interact with your colleagues.
  • The ability to learn new skills and working methods and be adaptable to change.
  • A proactive approach to work.
  • Flexible team player.
