Job Title: B2B Sales Professional

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced B2B Sales Professional to join our team at Freight Personnel. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and securing new clients to meet our company's KPIs and gross profit targets.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of the agreed business development territory, securing new clients and driving business growth.
  • Building client relationships to ensure existing clients continue to trade and consistently building a portfolio of new clients.
  • Following up on qualified leads from websites and marketing exercises and re-signing lapsed account customers where possible.
  • Reporting activity and results using the online CRM system.
  • Communicating with the MD/Logistics Team on prospects with potential for trading via 'Contact Cards'.
  • Signing up potential customers over the telephone/email where applicable.
  • Working with the Office Manager on credit account applications to ensure due diligence and minimize risk of slow payment/bad debt.

Account Management:

  • Weekly monitoring of sales analysis reports to identify any drop in spend and taking action to ensure clients are winning and retaining as much business as possible.
  • Proactively developing relationships that increase the take up of services and thoroughly researching and preparing for all meetings and calls.
  • Producing weekly and monthly performance reports for the MD.
  • Building a marketing database for email-shots and direct mail each month.

Person Specification:

  • Confident and competent in managing the whole sales process from lead generation to close of business.
  • Proven track record of achieving new business sales targets and closing business.
  • Minimum 2-years' experience in a similar B2B role (short sales cycle).
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Confident and competent in the use of Microsoft packages and CRM systems.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Sales activity achieved each week to the agreed levels.
  • Full updates on CRM each day to map progress of each prospect/client.
  • Achievement of sales targets A&B as per our clients' Commissioning structure.
