About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Facilities Team Leader to join our Radiology Department at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deputise for the CT Lead Radiographer and assume responsibility for the day-to-day management of the department.
  • Work closely with other modality leads and deputies to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Attend meetings in the absence of the modality lead and provide updates on departmental activities.
  • Promote patient safety and governance by adhering to strict protocols and procedures.
  • Maintain and improve the quality of service by identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
  • Perform staff appraisals and provide constructive feedback to ensure employee growth and development.
  • Daily operational management of CT sites, including managing sickness absence and working closely with HR.
  • Assist with capacity and demand planning to ensure efficient use of resources.
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent in Diagnostic Radiography.
  • Leadership skills and experience in a similar role.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Post graduate education in a relevant field.
Key Skills
  • Evidence of training in all MR or CT techniques.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills and radiation protection protocols.
  • Ability to work at a high level and demonstrate leadership and organisational skills.
