Human Resources Officer Role

Simpson Booth Limited is seeking a skilled Human Resources Officer to provide support to the HR Manager in delivering best-in-class HR services to our UK and Netherlands operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • HR Support: Collaborate with the HR Manager to provide HR services that meet the needs of our business, including building strong working relationships with managers and employees.
  • HR Advice and Guidance: Provide practical and proactive HR advice and guidance across the region, ensuring compliance with employment legislation.
  • Change Projects: Support the creation and delivery of key change projects, including administrative tasks, creating materials, and communicating messages as required.
  • Employee Relations: Support with employee relations issues, including investigations, minutes, and associated tasks.
  • Policy Review: Review the company handbook and policy-related documentation to ensure everything is up to date with employment legislation.
  • Training and Development: Support the facilitation of training and development needs across the region, including administration tasks, sourcing providers, and creating plans.
  • Recruitment: Support all recruitment matters, from onboarding to setting up interviews and related paperwork.
  • HR Calendar: Support the HR team with the HR calendar of events, including salary reviews, benchmark data, and performance appraisal process.
  • Client Support: Support client groups in the execution of rollout on HR-related initiatives or projects.
Requirements:
  • CIPD Qualified to Level 3+
  • Experience as an HR generalist at a coordinator level
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills
  • Comfortable using databases and ERP software
  • Flexible approach to tasks
  • Self-starter mindset and the ability to use your initiative
  • Experience of working to deadlines and prioritising different tasks
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
