Job Title: Method Development Scientist

Imerys is seeking a highly skilled Method Development Scientist to join our team. As a Method Development Scientist, you will play a key role in developing new analytical methods and techniques to support our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and optimize analytical methods for internal use, ensuring they meet the required standard for validation and transfer.
  • Perform test measurements using approved methodologies, with a specialized focus on ICP-OES and ICP-MS techniques.
  • Contribute to mineral analysis projects and participate in Rietveld analysis to further our understanding of mineral compositions.
  • Draft new Approved Test Methods for each project, showcasing your expertise in method development and innovation.
  • Present the findings of method development projects, contributing to the continuous improvement of analytical capabilities across the organization.
Requirements:
  • BSc in Chemistry, Science, or Materials Science, complemented by an MSc, and preferably a PhD in the relevant field in Chemistry, Science, or Materials Science.
  • Experience working within a laboratory setting, specifically in method development roles, showcasing proficiency in the safe handling of laboratory equipment and chemicals.
  • Hands-on experience with ICP-OES and/or ICP-MS instrumentation, preferably in a method development capacity.
  • Familiarity with mineral analysis techniques and experience with Rietveld analysis is a plus.
