We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Foundation Lecturer to join our team at Bath College. As a Foundation Lecturer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students.
Key Responsibilities:- Teaching and Learning: Deliver learning programmes, including life skills, employability skills, and functional maths and English at Entry Level 1, Entry Level 2, Entry Level 3, and Level 1, to a cohort of learners with a range of special educational needs and disabilities and/or social, emotional, and mental health issues.
- Curriculum Development: Produce schemes of work, lesson plans, assessment plans, learning materials, and any other related activities that impact on the effectiveness of learning.
- Assessment and Record-Keeping: Co-ordinate and maintain records of formative and summative assessments of students' learning.
- Communication: Communicate internal and external examination entry and timetable, where appropriate, to the curriculum and support team and learners as appropriate.
- Health and Safety: Undertake classroom, workshop, and/or educational trip risk assessments as required.
- Teamwork: Work closely with the wider team of colleagues, including the SEND Coordinator and support staff in class, to support progression into wider college.
- Qualifications: PGCE, Cert Ed, DTTLs, or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience: 5 GCSEs at Grade A* to C or grade 4 and above, including Maths and English (or equivalent).
- Knowledge: Knowledge of a sensory-based learning environment with the Foundation Learning Provision.
