HSE Advisor Job Description

Sanderson Group is partnering with a major UK client to recruit an HSE Advisor. This role requires working via an umbrella and will be based in Coire Glas, with 3 days per week spent in the office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement SHE policies and strategies within a construction site environment.
  • Apply knowledge of CDM Regulations and design and construction activities to identify hazards.
  • Liaise with staff and contractors to motivate and influence them to implement advice.
  • Communicate effectively with a practical, systematic, and hands-on approach.
  • Identify and analyze problems, understand risks, and implement solutions.
  • Work in a multi-disciplinary environment and adapt to different cultures in a SHE context.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of current SHE Legislation.
Requirements:
  • Hold a recognized qualification in Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental Management (minimum NEBOSH Certificate/NEBOSH Construction certificate).
  • Experience working with SHE policies and strategies in a construction site environment.
  • Working knowledge of CDM Regulations and design and construction activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and influence contractors to implement advice.
