Financial Expense Analyst

Position Overview
We are excited to present an opportunity for a Financial Expense Analyst to become a vital part of our dynamic Finance Team.
In this role, the chosen candidate will engage in a well-structured month-end expense reporting process, which encompasses the preparation and examination of analytical documents and reconciliations, alongside the expense planning and forecasting activities. Furthermore, you will deliver exceptional support and guidance to the wider organization regarding expense accounting issues, while also providing proactive assistance for business transformation initiatives. Collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders will be essential, as you utilize your analytical expertise to offer insightful, precise, and timely responses to inquiries related to expense accounting, as well as conducting necessary investigative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing, analyzing, and adjusting expense entries while performing controlling functions.
- Employing analytical skills to address challenges as they arise and continuously enhancing processes for improved efficiency and control.
- Serving as a primary contact for both external and internal stakeholders, ensuring timely provision of all necessary information and explanations while maintaining robust control processes and audit trails.
- Actively supporting DAS UK transformation initiatives, which may involve the ongoing integration with its new parent group, ARAG, and other change programs in this evolving environment.
- Handling both routine and ad hoc tasks for other controlling areas as required.
Candidate Profile:
We welcome applications from individuals who can showcase the following:
- Outstanding communication abilities, with a knack for establishing strong working relationships both within and outside the Finance department.
- Proficient Excel skills are essential, with a working knowledge of SAP and its analytical tools being advantageous.
- Prior experience in a month-end close environment characterized by strict deadlines, rigorous financial controls, and accountability for the quality of output.
- Experience in the insurance sector or financial services is highly desirable, though not mandatory.
