Infrastructure Maintenance Engineer

At Aurizon, we are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Maintenance Engineer to join our Infrastructure Management team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Asset Management of Railway Infrastructure throughout Aurizon Bulk Central rail networks in South Australia and Northern Territory.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Civil Engineer with a strong background in Construction, Maintenance, and/or Asset Management to apply their expertise practically in an operational environment.

The role offers a challenging and rewarding experience, with the opportunity to work on a large-scale rail network and contribute to the development and implementation of new standards and procedures.

The Infrastructure Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for:

  1. Organizing and planning the technical aspects of civil projects, including design and preparation of user requirement specifications, material and component specifications, and safety in design requirements.
  2. Checking and auditing of civil systems submitted by external providers.
  3. Preparing associated documentation, user requirements, system requirements, installation procedures, verification and validation, testing and commissioning, asset handover, type approval, and maintenance procedures.
  4. Ensuring that civil designs produced conform to business and industry best practice.
  5. Identifying requirements for new processes and standards, and contributing to the production and implementation of new standards, specifications, and work practices.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Civil Engineering and 3-5+ years' technical experience. They will also possess high-level skills in communication, planning, and undertaking professional work without direct supervision.
