Role Responsibilities

In this position, you will collaborate with a skilled team of accreditors, possessing extensive knowledge of financial and tax accounting systems. Your primary responsibility will be to represent Risk, Controls, and Financial Accounting (RCFA), ensuring that change requirements are effectively delivered and rigorously tested.

Your contributions will be vital in ensuring that the financial processes implemented by projects are secure, auditable, and compliant with HMRC's standards. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Act as a representative for RCFA in project environments, advocating for our requirements.
  • Influence the financial accreditation process as our team adapts to HMRC's evolving landscape.
  • Develop collaborative relationships with project teams to ensure finance requirements are clearly understood and executed.

While this role does not focus on accounting, familiarity with accounting principles and systems will be beneficial.

  • Provide concise updates and documentation to assist senior management in decision-making processes.

  • Experience in project management, finance, audit, or assurance roles.
  • Strong communication skills, particularly in conveying technical concepts.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.

  • Experience in a project change environment.
  • Knowledge of taxation principles.
