About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety and Health Advisor to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and the environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective SHE management systems to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to employees on SHE matters, including risk assessment, hazard identification, and control measures.
  • Conduct investigations into incidents and near-misses, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement SHE policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and report on SHE performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in SHE management, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety; Level 3 NVQ in Occupational Safety and Health Practice.
