About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Acute Care Nurse to join our team as a Tissue Viability Nurse. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to patients with complex wounds.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, managing, and treating patients with tissue viability issues, including pressure ulcers, leg ulcers, and other wounds. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement evidence-based care plans, and provide education and training to healthcare professionals.

This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. You will be expected to maintain current registration with the NMC, follow the code of professional conduct, and participate in annual development reviews.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage patients with tissue viability issues, including pressure ulcers, leg ulcers, and other wounds.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based care plans, in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Provide education and training to healthcare professionals on wound care and tissue viability.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of tissue viability policies and procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the improvement of patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • NMC registration as a Band 5 nurse.
  • Experience in community nursing and wound care.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of tissue viability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
