About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mill Operative to join our team in Edinburgh, UK. As a Mill Operative, you will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient running of our modern flour mill.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out various duties to ensure the smooth operation of the mill, including site hygiene tasks and supporting other functions.
- Assist in maintaining a high standard of cleaning and hygiene on site, adhering to food safety requirements.
- Support the Technical Services Supervisor in ensuring effective pest control management.
- Contribute to the completion of the hygiene schedule and effective communication with department heads.
- Ensure a high standard of cleanliness of site facilities, including office cleaning, toilets, locker room, canteen, etc.
- Assist in effective waste and environmental control, including good segregation and disposal procedures.
- Coordinate with the waste recycling contractor and manage relevant consumable stocks.
- Participate in site IPM activities and cover for weighbridge and flour testing on an ad hoc basis.
