Job Summary:

Meridian Business Support is seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in the pricing and management of construction projects from initial inquiry to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimate new project inquiries and manage ongoing costs of live projects.
  • Produce and send inquiries to subcontractors, engaging with the supply chain.
  • Develop and maintain accurate bill of quantities and activity schedules for payment purposes.
  • Monitor and control income and expenditure on contracts.
  • Attend and contribute to financial and progress meetings with clients and subcontractors.
  • Provide expert advice and support to site teams and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Previous experience in the construction industry, preferably in refurbishment and extension projects in the Education sector.
  • Willingness to work independently and progress career goals.
  • HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying and CSCS card.
