Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead teams of engineers and technicians to deliver projects across the region
  • Liaise with the wider business disciplines to coordinate design and manage specialist input/surveys
  • Provide technical assistance to the members of the structural engineering team
  • Assist other members of the structural engineering team to ensure project delivery within agreed timescales and budgets
  • Exercise a degree of autonomy in decision making related to the accomplishment of the team's objectives
  • Assist in the contract administration of projects and ensure that time and budgetary requirements are met
  • Ensure compliance with all legislation, regulations and site procedures or instructions

Requirements

  • Experience in the use of structural engineering design software (ideally Tekla Structural Designer or SCIA Engineer)
  • Experience in the use of REVIT to interrogate models and preferably also AutoCAD
  • Educated to degree level in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Chartered status with the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) or Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE)
  • A minimum of five years' experience working in a structural engineering consultancy environment
