We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Depot Manager to join our team at Biffa. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our depot and supporting our out-based operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate all depot-based resources to optimize operational productivity and service standards.
- Monitor and manage the full depot profit and loss budget, delegating accountability where necessary to ensure year-on-year growth.
- Collaborate with our Business Improvement Manager to ensure local customers receive excellent service and value.
- Set and agree clear objectives with operational staff, monitoring their performance and taking corrective action as needed.
- Drive continuous improvement and best practice in cost control and productivity.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Operations Manager or similar role in services or logistics.
- CPC Qualification.
- Ability to work in a commercially driven and time-critical environment.
- Experience of people and health and safety management in a unionized and multi-shift environment.
- Knowledge of environmental and health and safety legislation.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with others.
