Key ResponsibilitiesThe Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing procurement activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, maintaining procurement records, and supporting the procurement team in day-to-day operations.
Procurement Processes- Assist in the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures.
- Coordinate procurement activities, including the preparation of purchase orders and ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
- Manage and update the procurement database, including supplier information and procurement records.
- Liaise with suppliers to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
- Evaluate supplier performance and maintain positive relationships to ensure reliable and continuous supply.
- Resolve any issues related to procurement processes or supplier performance.
- Monitor and analyze procurement costs to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Assist in the preparation of cost reports and budgets.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records and documentation.
- Prepare and submit regular procurement reports to management.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement.
- Support the procurement team with administrative tasks and coordination activities.
- Assist in the preparation of procurement documentation.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure alignment and support for procurement activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve issues effectively.
