Key Responsibilities

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing procurement activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, maintaining procurement records, and supporting the procurement team in day-to-day operations.

Procurement Processes
  • Assist in the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate procurement activities, including the preparation of purchase orders and ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
  • Manage and update the procurement database, including supplier information and procurement records.
Supplier Management
  • Liaise with suppliers to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and maintain positive relationships to ensure reliable and continuous supply.
  • Resolve any issues related to procurement processes or supplier performance.
Cost Management
  • Monitor and analyze procurement costs to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Assist in the preparation of cost reports and budgets.
Documentation and Reporting
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records and documentation.
  • Prepare and submit regular procurement reports to management.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement.
Support and Coordination
  • Support the procurement team with administrative tasks and coordination activities.
  • Assist in the preparation of procurement documentation.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure alignment and support for procurement activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve issues effectively.
