HCRG Workforce Solutions is seeking a skilled Dental Practitioner to join our team in a military healthcare setting. As a Dental Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to military personnel.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a full range of dental treatment to maintain oral health and undertake related general administrative duties.
- Assist the Senior Dental Officer (SDO) or operate independently to achieve dental fitness targets.
- Ensure that not less than 6.5 hours per day in 2 sessions are set aside for direct patient contact.
- Record all treatment correctly on the electronic health record and any relevant FMed documents.
- Comply with all relevant Contracting Authority policy, including DPHC (Dental) policies, regulations, and orders.
- Ensure that surgery management, document administration, and maintenance of equipment are undertaken to the standards laid out in JSP 950 Leaflet and DPHC Dental SOPs.
- Provide treatment in accordance with The College of General Dentistry (CG Dent) guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety orders and adhere to current control of substances hazardous to health (COSHH) regulations.
- Fully registered with the General Dental Council (GDC) without restrictions.
- Certified completion of Foundation Training in Dentistry in the UK or have evidence of at least 24 months full-time postgraduate clinical experience derived in a primary dental care setting.
- Hold valid suitable and appropriate indemnity insurance with a recognised dental defence organisation.
- Provide evidence of clinical currency in accordance with JSP 950 Leaflet 4-1-4 Returning to Clinical Practice.
- Have completed GDC highly recommended Continuing Professional Development (CPD) including medical emergencies, safeguarding children and vulnerable adults, disinfection and decontamination, radiography, and radiation protection.
- Be trained and current in emergency and resuscitation procedures and have practised and tested these procedures at least annually in accordance with Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines and JSP 950 Leaflet 4-6-1 DMS CPR Standards and Training.
- Have undertaken the additional health clearance checks for clinicians required to perform Exposure Prone Procedures.
- Previous Ministry of Defence (MoD) Experience.
- An NHS Performer number.
- A dentally related level 7 postgraduate qualification.
