We are in search of a Principal Security Consultant to enhance our Security and Technology Engineering division. This role offers a unique chance to significantly influence future construction initiatives in major urban centers globally.

The AECOM Security & Technology Engineering team is a dedicated unit within the Building Engineering Division, providing specialized Security and Technology design and support services that complement the engineering efforts of our building teams.

Our Buildings team comprises approximately 400 Engineers engaged in extensive construction projects, focusing on specialized areas in various locations. We operate across multiple sectors, including substantial commercial developments, large mixed-use projects, and the restoration of historical buildings.

Your Responsibilities:

As a Principal Security Consultant, you will deliver high-level technical and strategic security engineering services for new construction and renovation projects, which include:

  • Assessing Operational & Strategic needs
  • Conducting thorough evaluations of potential threats and their impacts to identify risk levels and appropriate mitigation strategies
  • Designing Physical Security solutions - Creating conceptual, developed, and technical designs for physical security measures such as Vehicle Security Barriers (VSB), Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM), security fencing, and fortified doors and windows.
  • Designing Electronic Security systems - Developing conceptual, developed, and technical designs for electronic security measures, including video surveillance, access control systems, intrusion detection, intercoms, and alarm systems.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in Security Engineering
  • Possession of RSES, CSyP, or PSP certifications with a commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Experience in business development
  • Relevant qualifications in security or engineering disciplines
