About the RoleWe are seeking a compassionate and skilled Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team at an SEMH school in Sheffield. The school caters specifically for students aged 11 – 16 years old.
Key Responsibilities- Support students with emotional and behavioural difficulties to manage their behaviour and emotions effectively
- Provide one-on-one and small group mentoring sessions to help students develop social and emotional skills
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create individualized plans for students
- Monitor and track student progress and communicate with parents and caregivers
- Relevant qualifications or experience in counselling, social work, psychology, or a related field
- Experience working with children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties
- Knowledge of SEMH and strategies for managing challenging behaviour
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Dedicated sector specialist consultant to contact around the clock
