Job Summary:

Argyll and Bute Council's ICT Department is seeking a Modern Apprentice to join their team as a Print and Mail Room Assistant. This is a full-time position working 35 hours per week, with a 1-year apprenticeship program that includes a SCQF level 5 Business and Administration course.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing incoming and outgoing mail, scanning mail, and assisting with general print operations. Applicants should have experience using Microsoft Office, email, and good communication skills. Full training will be provided, along with mentorship of the SCQF course.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process incoming and outgoing mail
  • Scan mail and assist with general print operations
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Work collaboratively with the ICT team to achieve departmental goals

Argyll and Bute Council offers a competitive salary, with a starting rate of £6.40 per hour rising to the Scottish Local Government Living Wage thereafter.
