About You
We seek enthusiastic and skilled software developers to become integral members of our expanding team during this pivotal phase. You should possess a self-driven attitude and a collaborative spirit, ready to support both Senior and Junior Developers as needed.
Comfort in remote work is essential, along with the ability to operate independently while contributing to the broader team. A strong technical foundation and a minimum of three years of problem-solving experience are required. The capacity to learn swiftly is crucial, as you will need to familiarize yourself with new technologies and develop a comprehensive understanding of the business domains you engage with. Excellent communication skills are vital for effective interaction with key stakeholders across various levels and for grasping business requirements.
Your Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with both local and remote team members, adhering to agreed specifications to design, code, test, and document programs using appropriate standards and tools.
- Acquire a thorough understanding of our business activities and the custom software utilized across them.
- Propose suitable software solutions to business challenges presented by our users. Work with stakeholders to document user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Develop system specifications and designs, reviewing specifications produced by others. Utilize well-understood technology and identify suitable design patterns.
- Comprehend information security and the types of security controls applicable to mitigate threats within solutions and services.
- Assist in resolving software faults and perform infrastructure maintenance tasks following established procedures.
- Gain in-depth knowledge of GxP and data integrity regulations. Design solutions and services with regulatory compliance in mind and produce validation documentation for the business.
Required Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in programming with an object-oriented language (preferably C#)
- Experience in building HTTP APIs
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS
- Expertise in developing single-page applications using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React
- Familiarity with automated unit and integration testing
- Understanding of SQL, ORM frameworks, and database design
- Proficient in Git and GitHub
Preferred Additional Experience:
- Experience working in an agile environment (scrum)
- Background in delivering software within a regulated environment
- Knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS)
- Familiarity with Docker
- Experience with .Net Core
- Understanding of CQRS, Event Sourcing, and message-based architectures
- Experience with document databases
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as TeamCity
Benefits:
- Competitive annual salary: £45,000 - £55,000
- Generous annual leave of 25 days plus bank holidays (increasing to 27 days after three years of service)
