Job Summary:
Morson Talent is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tunnel Engineering Supervisor to join our team on the High Speed Rail London Tunnels Programme. As a key member of the Principal Contractor JV, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction process and ensuring that all works are carried out in accordance with the agreed processes and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and validate the progress of works, including the implementation of the design and the application of agreed processes.
- Monitor the construction team's performance and ensure that all records and observations are accurately documented.
- Maintain records of excavation sequences, progress, and materials application, including the integrity of connections.
- Visually inspect applied materials and record reinforcement installation and quality control.
- Confirm compliance with RESS and record all aspects of the SCL cycle for feedback to the Senior SCL Engineer.
- Prepare daily reports for issue to the Senior SCL Engineer, including reporting contractor's excavation progress.
Requirements:
- Civil or Structural Engineering Qualification, minimum of an HNC/HND, preferably BEng or higher (MEng, MSc).
- CSCS Gold or White Card / SMSTS or SSSTS.
- Thorough understanding and application of the CDM Regulations 2015.
- Team player with excellent communication skills.
- Relevant experience of SCL construction and appreciation of the practical application of interfacing with rail systems and others.
