About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clinical Trials Coordinator to join our Research team at East and North Herts NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering research trials and contributing to the success of our clinical trials program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the efficient and timely set up of clinical trials, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date databases, producing regular progress reports on recruitment and trial activity.
  • Track and raise invoices, identifying discrepancies and escalating them to the relevant authorities.
  • Manage daily trial activity, including case report form completion and amendment processing, ensuring timely and accurate submission.
  • Conduct quality assurance of all trial-related documentation, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Prepare for audits and inspections, ensuring that all necessary documentation is readily available.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, adhering to data protection guidelines and maintaining confidentiality.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Essential
    • Diploma or equivalent and/or relevant research experience.
    • Experience in clinical trial administration, including data management.
    • Knowledge of the clinical trials process, GCP guidelines, and EU directives.
    • Understanding of medical terminology.
  • Desirable
    • Graduate qualification.
    • Relevant training courses in clinical research.
    • Experience of working in a healthcare setting.
    • Knowledge of patient information systems.
    • Understanding of case report forms.
