About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Energy Manager to join our team at Self-Help. As a key member of our Commercial Lending team, you will play a critical role in supporting borrowers and teammates in identifying energy efficiency and clean energy generation opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance to borrowers and teammates on commercial energy efficiency and clean energy programs and incentives.
  • Work closely with our Green Senior Business Development Officer to identify energy efficiency and clean energy generation opportunities that align with our sector focus areas.
  • Develop best practices to help borrowers identify and secure applicable rebates, tax credits, and other incentives.
  • Lead energy efficiency and clean energy data collection for compliance and impact reporting.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in a related field and four years of clean energy or energy efficiency work experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior experience working in lending, construction, real estate development, community/economic development, or a similar field is preferred.
  • Strong commitment to our mission of creating economic opportunity for traditionally underserved communities.
  • Ability to work effectively in teams and create partnerships with other Self-Help teams.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
  • Spanish fluency is a plus.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and customer relationship software.
