Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiographer Specialist to join our team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals. As a key member of our Imaging Service, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality imaging services to our patients.

Main Duties

As a Radiographer Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert radiography services to patients, including plain film imaging and other diagnostic procedures.
  • Leading and managing a team of radiographers to ensure the smooth delivery of imaging services.
  • Developing and implementing quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and service delivery.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports, and contributing to the development of departmental policies and procedures.

Person Specification

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced radiographer with:

  • A BSc/Dip in Diagnostic Radiography and HCPC registration.
  • Minimum 12 months post-qualification experience in a radiography role.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with experience of leading a team and developing quality improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to expand clinical role.
