Position Overview
As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will deliver specialized musculoskeletal physiotherapy services to patients within a secure correctional facility. This role requires close collaboration with Physical Training Instructors in the gym environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage an independent clinical caseload, conducting assessments within the health center and various accommodation areas.
- Work alongside Scottish Prison Service staff, ensuring safety and compliance at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with General Practitioners, psychologists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications and Skills
- Registered Physiotherapist with current HCPC registration.
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
- Postgraduate expertise in a relevant specialty, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines.
- Proven leadership skills to manage service delivery effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with excellent time management skills.
- Valid UK/EU/EEA driving license.
Desirable Attributes
- Membership in the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
- Experience in multidisciplinary collaboration and research.
- Interest in continuous professional development and specialization.
Contract Details
This is a permanent part-time position, requiring 12 hours of work per week. The salary will be pro-rata based on the part-time status.
