We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Removals Supervisor to join our team. As a Removals Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and managing the removals process, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the removals team, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Conduct risk assessments and health and safety checks to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Manage and coordinate the removals process, including packing, loading, and transporting goods.
  • Develop and implement effective solutions to resolve any issues that may arise during the removals process.
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring that all customers are satisfied with the removals service.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that all removals services meet the company's high standards.

Requirements

  • Full UK driving license.
  • Experience of supervising teams.
  • Experience of removals and logistics.
  • Team leadership skills (NVQ or equivalent).
  • Leadership skills.
  • Punctual.
  • Hardworking.
  • Well-groomed.
  • Physically fit.
  • A polite and friendly manner and good communication skills.
  • A careful and methodical approach to work.
  • The ability to work out the most effective way to load items.
  • An honest and responsible attitude to other people's property.

Additional Notes

Long-distance moves may involve nights away from home, which may require sleeping in the vehicle. Most vehicles now have sleeper cabs and cooking facilities. Operatives spend a lot of time in the cab of the removal vehicle, traveling to and from base and between loading and unloading points.
