About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Driver to join our team at Northwood, a leading manufacturer and supplier of paper hygiene and wiping products.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and safety-conscious individual to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, ensuring the efficient movement and storage of goods.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift/reach truck to load, unload, move, and rearrange stock, as well as performing daily and weekly cleaning tasks.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operate a forklift/reach truck to load, unload, move, and rearrange stock.
  • Basic operation of the palletiser system and conveyor.
  • Follow all site safety rules to maintain a safe working environment, reporting any near misses, incidents, and injuries.
  • Carry out pre-use safety checks and ensure accurate records are kept.
  • Ensure 100% accuracy when loading and unloading by checking all products against paperwork.
  • Perform daily and weekly cleaning tasks.
  • Check products are labelled correctly and put away in the correct locations and scanning pallets.
  • Achieve output targets set through effective teamworking.
  • Assist with stocktakes.
  • Provide the correct pallet types required for production orders.

Requirements:

  • FLT Counterbalance and Reach licence
  • Good communication, numeracy, and literacy skills

  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Duties involve regular repetitive light, medium, and heavy lifting
