We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Specialist Pharmacist to join our team at NHS Lothian. As a key member of our Pharmacy & Medicines Service, you will play a vital role in delivering clinically led, person-centred services to ensure patients across Lothian receive the best from their medicines and pharmacy services.
Key Responsibilities- Work across surgical, women and children, medical and ophthalmic services to provide expert pharmacy advice and support.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of pharmacy services, ensuring they are aligned with the vision and goals of the Pharmacy & Medicines Service.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and experiences.
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master of Pharmacy Degree or equivalent.
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Completed or equivalent competence as mapped to the Post Registration Foundation Pharmacist Framework.
- Desirable: independent prescriber qualification or willingness to undertake post-graduate study.
