Assistant Manager Job Opportunity

Just Recruitment Group Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join their team in Bury St Edmunds. As a key member of the management team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the manager with day-to-day duties, driving sales and operations, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the manager with day-to-day duties, including overseeing customer service and ensuring branch targets are met.
  • Drive sales and operations, including financial duties and daily banking.
  • Handle customer enquiries, both over the phone and on the trade counter, and provide advice on product lines.
  • Prepare customer quotations, update customer terms, and progress orders.
  • Proactively up-sell on the trade counter and place orders with suppliers.
  • Use computer systems to manage customer data and orders.
  • Be flexible and willing to lend a hand in other areas of the business when needed.
Requirements:
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
  • Previous experience of overseeing a small team.
  • A hardworking, polite, and self-motivated team player.
  • Punctuality, a clean and tidy appearance, and a positive attitude.
  • A good listener, keen to learn and develop new skills.
  • Thoughtful and resourceful, with a desire to solve problems and succeed.
