Physical Education Subject Lead Opportunity

Step Teachers is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physical Education Subject Lead to join our team at an 'Outstanding' all-girls secondary school in Lambeth. As a key member of the school's leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the PE department and contributing to the school's drive for excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive PE curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons that promote student learning and achievement.
  • Lead and manage the PE department, including staff development and performance management.
  • Collaborate with other subject leaders to develop and implement whole-school initiatives.
Requirements:
  • QTS or equivalent qualification for teaching in secondary school.
  • Recent mainstream school-based experience teaching PE at the secondary school level.
  • Good level of behaviour management.
  • Relevant PE/Sport-related degree.
