We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join our team in Rochester, Kent. As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of high accuracy energy metering systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Installation and commissioning of high accuracy energy metering systems
  2. Electrical instrumentation and control systems expertise
  3. Good knowledge of power industry, high voltage transmission and distribution networks
  4. Experience with communication protocols such as Modbus, MQTT, IEC61850, DNP3, DLMS
  5. Ability to problem-solve and an engineering curiosity mindset
  6. Excellent time and task management skills
  7. Good computer skills including MS Office suite and project planning software
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  9. Full driving licence - ESSENTIAL

Requirements:

  1. Electrical engineering or systems engineering technical background required OR a BSc/HND in an engineering discipline
  2. Experience of electrical instrumentation and control systems (focus on energy metering)
  3. Good knowledge of power industry, high voltage transmission and distribution networks
  4. Experience in ethernet connections, programming of switches & routers, for example: SCADA
  5. Relevant training and qualifications (BS th/18th Edition Regulations, Full GWO, HUET, Medical and fitness including Chester step) advantageous
  6. Knowledge and experience of precision high accuracy metering OR CT metering is advantageous (CoP1, CoP2)

What We Offer:

  1. Competitive salary: £40,000 to £44,000 pa
  2. OTE: £60-70K pa
  3. 39 hours basic week + OT includes travel time
  4. Location: Rochester, Kent – initial period of employment c3 months
  5. Benefits:
