Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled NPI Manufacturing Engineer to join our team on a 24-month contract. As a critical point of contact, you will ensure continuity of the Operational Facility and provide technical support to all activities within the shop, including critical build activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create, maintain, and develop technical packages for a large variety of engine commodities in line with business requirements.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for any issues arising during the trial of new products, ensuring effective resolution and prevention of future occurrences.
  • Lead investigations into product trial failures, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement corrective actions.
  • Deliver cost reduction through improvement activities.
  • Provide definition, maintenance, and improvement of technical instructions utilising current and future IT systems and processes.
  • Liaise with other engineering functions and provide support to maintain and improve site delivery commitments.
  • Prepare and deliver technical communications (e.g. presentations and/or reports) to suppliers and internal stakeholders as necessary.
  • Work with interfacing teams, local experts, partners, and suppliers to ensure technical aspects of manufacturing processes are understood and accounted for as required.
  • Resolve technical problems and exercise professional judgement.
  • Manage and maintain the integrity of business-related data in support of manufacturing processes.
  • Plan and manage activities, communicating current status to relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes comply with all legal and customer requirements.
Requirements
  • Degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and appropriate measurement systems.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and capable of working independently and within a multi-skilled team.
  • Ability to operate with minimal direction and navigate ambiguity within a global MRO network.
  • Knowledge of foundational ME toolsets and RRPS principles.
  • Experience with systems engineering and problem-solving methodologies (7-step / 8D).
  • Proficiency in conducting root cause analysis for issues arising during product trials, with a focus on effective resolution and prevention.
  • Experience leading investigations into product trial failures, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement corrective actions.
