About the Role

The Senior PMO Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting the Project Management Office (PMO) by providing advanced skills across our Energy Planning and Investment portfolio of works. This role involves facilitating the successful delivery of projects through strong planning, governance, reporting, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning & Scoping: You will work closely with senior management and subject matter experts to ensure projects are effectively planned/scoped and managed through to submission.
  2. Risk Management & Project Governance: You will be required to implement risk management processes and reporting as well as identify, assess, and monitor project risks, and develop mitigation strategies. You will also work to set up solid project governance to enable decision-making on projects and ensure the correct roles and responsibilities are understood.
  3. Reporting & Analysis: You will be responsible for generating and analysing project reports, dashboards, and metrics to provide insights and recommendations to senior management and executive committees.

Requirements:

  1. Training & Support: You will ideally have experience in providing training, coaching, and support to team members.
  2. People & Resource Management: Experience in direct line management would be beneficial to assist in the allocation and tracking of project resources to ensure optimal utilization.
  3. Industry Knowledge: Knowledge and experience of the wider energy industry and policy would be advantageous.
