Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Administrator to join our team in our Colchester office. As an Administrative Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing administrative support to our Region, ensuring the smooth operation of our office and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake a wide range of administrative tasks and duties using keyboard, office 365, Teams, and strong IT skills.
  • Act as an admin support for the Region, providing administrative assistance as needed.
  • Coordinate and source appropriate training for staff and foster parents.
  • Organize and coordinate meetings and events, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Complete monthly tasks according to deadlines, maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Record essential company information to third parties on our database (CHARMS).
  • Act as the first point of contact for our customers, portraying a positive, professional, and helpful image of the organization.
  • Understand and follow unique processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Note/Minute taking at meetings where appropriate.
  • Cover reception duties (lunch/annual leaves).
  • Some travel within the region may be required.
  • Undertake visits in potential foster parents' homes.
Requirements
  • Previous administrative experience.
  • Solid educational background to include GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
  • Ability to evidence an understanding of the use of IT and electronic communications, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook email).
  • Good knowledge of administrative systems and processes.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle changing priorities.
  • Administration qualification or equivalent.
