Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Social Work Professional to join our team at Reed. As an Advanced Social Services Specialist, you will be responsible for managing a complex caseload and providing expert guidance and support to colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective case plans to address the needs of vulnerable children and families.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues on complex social work issues.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery and outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with service users, families, and community partners.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and best practice.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree in Social Work or equivalent, with registration with the HCPC.
  • Significant post-qualification experience in a statutory social work role (minimum of 4 years).
  • Experience in practice development, providing supervision/coaching/mentoring.
  • Ability to work with children, young people, and families in a multi-agency context.
  • Ability to analyse information and plan interventions with minimum support.
